Trauma-Safe Space Policy
AthenaKinley.com and The Sanctuary: Trauma-Safe Space Policy
Because healing requires safety.
💬 Purpose
AthenaKinley.com and The Sanctuary exist to provide a compassionate, trauma-informed environment for individuals recovering from workplace hostility, retaliation, or emotional harm. This is not therapy. It’s community — built on mutual respect, empathy, and care.
🌙 Our Guiding Principles
Consent and Boundaries:
No one is required to share details of their experience.
Ask before offering advice or direct messages.
If someone says “I need space,” that boundary must be honored.
Language Awareness:
Avoid graphic descriptions of abuse, violence, or self-harm.
- Speak from your own experience — “I felt,” not “You should.”
No Diagnosis or Therapy Talk:
We’re not licensed professionals. We share support, not medical or legal advice.
If someone expresses deep distress, gently refer them to a crisis or mental health line.
Confidentiality:
What’s said here stays here.
Screenshots or sharing posts outside the space without permission will result in removal.
Respect and Repair:
Conflict is natural, but cruelty is not.
If harm occurs, we may remove individuals for safety.
Our first goal is always understanding, not punishment.
🕊️ Moderator Commitment
Moderators are trained in trauma-informed communication. They will step in gently when boundaries or safety are at risk.
If you ever feel unsafe, please reach out privately to a moderator using the “Message a Mod” channel.
🌾 In Closing
AthenaKinely.com and The Sanctuary are not places of perfection — they’re places of care.
We are here to listen, witness, and hold space for healing, one story at a time.
Your truth is safe here. Your pace is respected. Your voice matters.
